WHAT WE COULD HAVE BEEN is a gripping and emotional tale of a woman coming home to the small Florida fishing town she fled as a teen, in hopes of repairing the broken relationships she left behind. A Detroit native with one foot in the sand of Florida's Gulf Coast, Tracy Gardner is a mother of three, the daughter of two teachers, and works as a nurse when not writing. She lives with her husband and a menagerie of spoiled rescue dogs and cats. The author is a strong believer in women saving themselves, often with ride-or-die besties and plenty of chocolate.
